"In another story the monster, a gigantic dragon was still living in the lake. He seized a fisherman one day, carried him down to the lake, and then came to the surface to tell the fisherman's wife that he was the spirit of the lake and that nobody must venture upon it. When two canaoes full of warriors went forth to give battle, a storm came up, and the dragon, rising up, seized one canoe and took it with its crew beneath the lake. The other warriors fled."
