  • Lived on the banks of the River Nile and when it met its enemy, the crocodile, it would bury itself in the mud to get slippery, then intentionally get swallowed, bursting through the croc's stomach and killing it.
  • Changed into a symbol of Christ's descent into hell and resurrection
  • Described as a 3-headed snake or dragon is often confused with a hydra.
