Al-Azraq, a Muslim hero and figure for Muslims in Spain, became a figure of strength for future attacks after his death when Grenada forces attacked Valencia. "In Valencia folklore al-Azraq lived on as a bogyman. His name, transmorgified into 'dragon', was used to silence unruly children: 'El Drach will get you!'" (Que Vindra el Drach!)."
