What follows is a summary of tale #183 found in the book.

A dragon King Zentatsu lived in a cave at Muro in Yamato province and one day a worshipper entered to see him and praise him. But the dragon told him to go 300 yards outside and the dragon would meet him there. So the worshipper did and the dragon rose full into the sky, then went back into his cave.

The worshipper built a temple there and when the local monks pray for rain, a black cloud gathers of the dragon's statue and it rains.
