Originally some of the gentler dragon-kind, these creatures were later demonized by the Buddhists.

Notes:

  • Korean dragon = riong = motion change
  • Have a pear shaped pearl in their foreheads
  • Snakes can be come dragons after 1,000 years of living under a mountain
  • Sometimes required human sacrifice until the mudangos (female exorcists that perfomed rituals) were themselves killed
  • Bones were often used for medicines and healing
  • Korean dragon kings are mang
  • Generally have 4 toes, although some only 3
