Tale 1:

Rostam, during his third trial, slays a magical dragon that had come up on him in his sleep. His hourse, Raxs, tried to wake its master, but the dragon just disappeared and Rostam grew impatient at having been awakened repeatedly. On the third time, however, God made sure that the dragon could not disappear, and when Rostam saw it, he killed it.
