  • Sources and accounts are somewhat confused. and say she's either the (step-)mother of Jormangander or another name for Jormangand.
  • Angerboda ("Sorrowbringer") is the mother of Jormungand (the Midgardsorm), Vanargand (the Fenris wolf) and Hel. Angerboda is a gygr (a giantess). (Thank you Torfinn Ormen)
