Please note that this is only a brief summary of the tale.

Tale:

A prince saves an old woman from a ditch and she rewards him with the name of the most beautiful woman and a magic bell that summons the King of the Eagles, Foxes, and Fishes.

So the Prince went in search of the Flower Queen's Daughter, who was held prisoner by a dragon. He passes a man, then the man's father. Finally the first man's grandfather pointed the way to the dragon's castle, and told the prince about the nightly ball where he could meet the Flower Queen's Daughter.

He went to the Dragon Mother (who held the ball) and offered himself as her servant. The Dragon Mother told him he had to watch her mare for 3 days.

The first day the mare disappeared and the man called on the Prince of Eagles who found the mare. That night, he met the Flower Queen's Daughter. The next day he called on the King of the Foxes and that night the Daughter told him how they were going to escape. The final day he called on the King of Fishes and that night the man and Daughter took the man's reward (a foal) and ran back to the Flower Queen's palace. The dragons pursued, but a wall of flowers grew thick and protective around them.

The prince and Daughter were married, but the Daughter returned to her mother every winter. All was well and happy.
