Characteristics:
  • Wise, judicious, and benevolent
  • Consider themselves the promoters of goodness
  • Often pursues quests one-mindedly and fanatically
  • Slow to anger, prefers discussion and reason
  • Will not accept bribes, but will take gifts
  • Can and do shape shift regularly
  • Tend to be more magical than others
  • Will assist humans if the battle is against great evil
  • Will talk before a fight
  • Can talk to animals
Habitat:
  • Prefers lairs in solid stone, but can live anywhere
Physiology:
  • 55-160 ft long
  • Usually assumes either human or friendly animal form
  • At birth, scales are dark yellow dotted with golden flecks.
  • Scales grow in size as the dragon ages
  • They will eat almost anything, but love gems and pearls
  • Breath Weapons: cone of fire, cloud of chlorine gas, weakening gas
  • Faces are whiskered and perceptive
  • Eyes fade with age
  • Small of saffron and incense
  • Immune to fire
  • Can move and act freely under water
  • Natural form has wings, but chooses a wingless form for better swimming
  • Wingless form can still fly
