Characteristics:
- Wise, judicious, and benevolent
- Consider themselves the promoters of goodness
- Often pursues quests one-mindedly and fanatically
- Slow to anger, prefers discussion and reason
- Will not accept bribes, but will take gifts
- Can and do shape shift regularly
- Tend to be more magical than others
- Will assist humans if the battle is against great evil
- Will talk before a fight
- Can talk to animals
Habitat:
- Prefers lairs in solid stone, but can live anywhere
Physiology:
- 55-160 ft long
- Usually assumes either human or friendly animal form
- At birth, scales are dark yellow dotted with golden flecks.
- Scales grow in size as the dragon ages
- They will eat almost anything, but love gems and pearls
- Breath Weapons: cone of fire, cloud of chlorine gas, weakening gas
- Faces are whiskered and perceptive
- Eyes fade with age
- Small of saffron and incense
- Immune to fire
- Can move and act freely under water
- Natural form has wings, but chooses a wingless form for better swimming
- Wingless form can still fly
