Characteristics:
  • Solitary, except when raising young
  • Likes to question travelers about wealth beyond their borders
  • Enemies: hill giants (who eat green's hatchlings)
  • Foul tempered, evil, and cruel
  • Enjoys planning intrigues, constantly seeks power and intimidation. Will enslave woodland creatures (or kill them if they don't submit)
  • Will attack without provocation or warning, and picks on any sized creature
  • Likes to prolong prey's pain and play with them
  • Will sometimes seek to control a creature instead of outright killing it.
Habitat:
  • Extremely protective of the young - will die first themselves
  • Prefer caves in cliffs and hillsides in the forests of temperate islands
  • They can create their own lair our of living trees - the bigger the better
  • Lairs smell of chlorine
  • Loves to eat elves and sprites, but can eat just about anything
Physiology:
  • Cluster of hornlets on brow and chin
  • Fearsome appearance
  • Breath weapon: cloud of chlorine gas
  • Hatchlings have deep green, almost black scales which expand and lighten to an emerald, olive, and forest green with age
  • Scales always remain flexible, more so that with other dragons
  • Immune to gases
