Characteristics:
  • Sly and devious
  • Not prone to risk-taking
  • Does not play well with others
  • Loves dark, opaque gems, especially black stones, and collects magical items
  • Prefers walking since flying tires them quickly
  • Hates both bright light and pure darkness
Habitat
  • Prime Materia plane: lairs in ancient ruins where light is shadowy most of the day
  • Shadow plane: dense thickets of trees, castles, or labyrinth caves
  • Likes to be located near colonies so they can have warning
  • Loves to eat rotting flesh and will leave prey until suitable.
  • Also likes frost-killed, waterlogged, and salt-poisoned plants
Physiology:
  • Scales and body is translucent at all ages
  • Breath Weapon: cloud of blackness
  • Immune to energy-draining and all magical weapons
  • Can hide in shadows. Only eyes are detectable in the shadows
  • Nocturnal
  • First egg to hatch eats the others
  • Worm-like
