Characteristics:
- Very carnivorous
- Energies are hard to control
- Usually seen on European coat of arms
- Symbol of Strength in heraldry
- The name originates from the French wyvere meaning "serpent" or "life"
Description:
- The changed version is mean with small beady eyes and wings, representing only evil, war, and viciousness
- Tail sometimes is a poisoned stinger
- AD&D versions are brown or grey, with orange or red eyes and are not very intelligent
- Small dragon with two legs and two bat-like wings. Sometimes the wings have grasping claws on the ends.

- Appears in the Dragonslayer Movie
- Some manuscripts dating from 1448 say that Satan appeared on earth as a wyvern on occasion.
- Related to the Lindorm, and some sources make them the same dragon
